The clock tower in Safranbolu, Turkey's oldest clock tower, was built during the reign of Mehmed Pasha Alkobrilli, in 1947. The clock tower is a small-sized building, with a single entrance on the edge facing the old prison, and rectangular windows on all four sides of the clock room , which is accessed by stairs that reach the top of the tower. It is also characterized by its location, close to the area's attractions.
