Al Qattara Market dates back to the mid-20th century, and it has been restored several times over the centuries and reopened to visitors, in an effort to preserve this ancient history. A traditional handicraft market is held here on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from October to May, with the aim of encouraging local families to preserve and enhance the heritage of Abu Dhabi through efficient production of traditional handicrafts.
