Al Qattara Oasis is located in the heritage city of Al Ain, an hour and a half away from the capital. It also extends over vast hectares of palm and fruit trees, a 4000-year-old mausoleum, historical mosques, fortified houses and markets, all of which form a mixture of ancient history and heritage. In the middle of these vast areas of palm trees, fruit orchards, and quiet walkways, 19 historical monuments include mosques, fortified houses and a popular market dating back to the mid-18th and early 20th centuries.
