Sunli Valley is located in the Yeşilhisar district of Kayseri Province in the southeastern part of Cappadocia, and contains many rock-cut churches and other buildings carved from fine sandstone. The ninth to the thirteenth century AD, and they are responsible for about a hundred churches found in the valley, as well as houses and arcades with connected pieces of rock, most of which are buried, destroyed, or used as stables.
