To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the April Revolution, sculptor Alberto Vieira designed a monument honoring Salgado Zenha entitled “The Silo of Memory.” Inspired by the shape of a granary that evokes the idea of storing memory, the forty years are represented by 40 overlapping rings, Each of these episodes consists of 25 elements that suggest books or documents related to the history of the memorial. The monument was designed from stainless steel plate, and illustrations and media text were obtained to adorn the monument's facade using a laser cutting process.
