The Seven Lakes Wetland Park covers an area of 20 square kilometers of forest between Glasgow and Catbridge, and as its name indicates, contains seven lakes, as well as five local nature reserves, a country park, and a country mansion that is one of the oldest buildings in Glasgow. Walking and cycling trails, and characterized by a diversity of wildlife, including a variety of wetland birds, as well as many other animals such as deer.
