The Church of São Marcos (Saint Mark) and its hospital date back to the eighteenth century, and were built according to the design of Carlos Amarante, after whom the churchyard is named. Clear with the horizontal symmetrical shape of the adjacent hospitals to create an overall harmonious impression, and in the middle of the church facade, there is a niche containing a statue of Saint Mark.
