Information about Sahabiye Madrasa
The Sahabiya School was built by the Seljuk Prime Minister Atta Fakhreddin Ali in 1267 with a fountain and a small mosque. The building was constructed entirely of cut stone according to the Anatolian Seljuk architectural tradition. Zigzag on the outer edges, these geometric carvings on the side of the door are the best examples of Seljuk craftsmanship.
