The Sahaba Mosque is located in the old market area of Sharm El Sheikh, and is considered an architectural masterpiece built in the unique Ottoman style. The foundation stone of the mosque was laid in January 2011, but construction work was suspended during the events of the revolution, and work resumed again later in April of the same year It was designed by the Egyptian architect Fouad Tawfiq Hafez, and its area is 3000 square meters, and includes two minarets with a length of 76 meters, and it can accommodate about 3000 visitors, making it the second largest mosque in Sharm El Sheikh. The mosque also includes a global Islamic cultural center and a religious cultural library in different languages.
