Hafnarhus Art Museum presents a show program with local and international contemporary artists, where works by key figures, as well as established and emerging current artists, are presented in six galleries. It is also home to the works of Erró and is an important player in the international pop art scene. Havenarhus is located in the oldest part of Reykjavik, where the town's first boats and docks were located. The building was erected in the 1930s and at that time was one of the largest in the country.
