The Regional History Museum, one of the oldest historical museums in Ukraine, was established in 1896. The museum consists of 16 halls representing different periods of Chernihiv history from ancient to modern times. It displays a rich collection of artifacts including statues, sculptures, costumes, iron and copper vessels, in addition to ancient books and rare documents. The museum also includes an archaeological section that displays a collection of crosses, jewelry, seals, and ancient weapons, as well as some skeletons and various fossils.
