The Collegium is one of the prominent monuments in the city. It is an old high school building dating back to 1700 AD, which later became a religious school in 1776, and remained so until the beginning of the socialist revolution in 1917 AD, after which the building was converted An Ethnographic Museum aims to preserve important artifacts in the city of Chernihiv. The museum houses a valuable collection of 18th century works such as paintings, costumes, jewelry, photographs and various prints.
