The Bodu Mandapam is located on the eastern side of the Meenakshi Temple of Oman, and it is also a popular place to visit in Madurai, and was built during the period from 1628 AD to 1635 AD, to become one of the most important places of worship in the city, and is characterized by a wonderful architectural composition that includes huge columns, high ceilings and ornaments. Today, the temple hosts many religious celebrations and festivals, and shopping festivals are held throughout the year.
