The rock-cut tombs of the Kings of Pontus are located in the city of Amasya, above the north bank of the river. The tombs, carved deep into the limestone as early as the fourth century BC, were used to worship the kings of Pontus. There are more than 20 (empty) tombs in the valley but there are four tombs you can walk to easily, there are private safe paths. From the top, you will be able to get the most beautiful panoramic views of the city.
