Penang Street Art is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases graphic street art depicting the lives of the people of Penang Island. To make strolling the streets of Georgetown even more exciting, in 2012 Penang City Council hired famed Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic and commissioned him to breathe new life into some atmospheric Chinese stores around the city in an effort to spread awareness of the streets' rich history.
