The Freedom Park along the right bank of the Krishul River in central Oradea dates back more than a century and a half, and has existed since the early 19th century, as shown on city maps of those times. Nowadays, the park remains an oasis of greenery. It includes a small café and flower shop whose employees plant thousands of flowers of different shapes and colors along the main walkway of the garden, and there is a small wooden piano that anyone can try to play.
