In 1878 the Jewish community built the modern Zion Synagogue on the bank of the Kryshol River, a massive synagogue dominated by a stunning central dome. The project was designed by Busch David in the neo-Moorish style, and executed by Rimanoczy Kalman. ), featuring an interior fresco that belongs to the painter Horovitz Mor.
