The Orel Lazar Memorial Museum is located in the Lazar family house, which was built in the last years of the nineteenth century. This house has a special historical value, because in one of its rooms the Declaration of Independence of the Romanians was signed, which includes the independence of the lands of Transylvania, Banat, Krishana and Maramures from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. On October 12, 1918, in 1989 the building entered the public heritage as a historical monument, and after extensive restoration work, the Uriel Lazare Museum was opened in it, which houses a private collection consisting of original furniture, pieces of art, books and family photos, all belonging to the family of the illustrious politician Uriel Lazare.
