As you approach the National Heritage Site, this impressive dove-shaped building will fascinate you. Designed by Brazilian designer Oscar Niemeyer, it is a classic example of his lavish and distinctive style. Inside you will find a statue engraved with the names of the nation's heroes, each a defender of freedom and democracy. A collection of artwork and manuscripts, including dramatic red paintings, is also available. It's a great place and really worth a visit.
