The palace is located in the center of the old city, only a few steps from the Norman Palace. The palace is one of the oldest buildings in Palermo, dating back to the 12th century and of Arab-Norman origin. The palace has a distinctive and eye-catching architectural style where many architectural styles can be seen. In the ceilings painted with decorations and inscriptions dating back to the fifteenth century, and sculptures from the seventeenth century, along with many Baroque frescoes that decorate the walls of the palace from the inside.
