It is one of the distinctive palaces that you will find when you visit the wonderful city of Oran, as it has many historical and archaeological details that appeal to many lovers of Ottoman architecture. This palace was built in the eighteenth century AD by order of Mehmed Bey the Great (one of the Ottoman rulers). It has an area of 5.6 hectares and includes both the court and the harem pavilion, in addition to two high-rise guard towers and a picturesque garden. The Palace of the Bey has also been included in the National Heritage List, and is the focus of attention for many locals and tourists alike.
