The Banja House, a medieval architectural monument and the oldest civic building in Craiova, was built in the late 15th century by the city's nobles and today hosts the Ethnography Department of the Oltenia Museum, which organizes permanent and temporary exhibitions that include ethnographic documentary holdings of traditional and contemporary art from the heritage of his property or from those affiliated with other institutions, in addition to hosting some seminars, meetings with field specialists, screenings of ethnographic films and other cultural activities.
