The Museum of Wall Painting of the Central Cultural Fund is located in the King Maha Vihara Rangiri Building in Dambulla. It was inaugurated on November 16, 2003. Its purpose is to allow visitors to view and study the murals that have been revealed by the Dambulla Project through surveys and research conducted since In 1991, paintings are displayed under the slogan "The Evolution of Sri Lankan Cave and Mural Paintings". It also aims to preserve the paintings that were damaged by natural monuments and insects.
