The Emilian Stanev Museum is located near the Samovodska Chercea Ethnographic Complex in the old part of Veliko Tarnovo. It is located in the house of the famous Bulgarian writer Emilian Stanev, who was born in 1907 in Tarnovo and died in 1979. The writer was born and lived in this house until 1922, but the original building has not been preserved, and the museum complex today consists of two buildings located opposite each other (the museum and the archive building in which her works are kept).
