The Murad I Mosque building was built during the reign of Murad I, to whom the Ottoman dynasty owes its expansion in Europe. Today, it constitutes one of the most important elements of the complex, which also includes public toilets, a fountain for ablution and the tomb of the Sultan. The building serves several functions collected in one location, which is exceptional in Ottoman architecture.
