Information about Mosque Lotzias Kos
This mosque was built in 1786 in Kos, directly across from the Tree of Hippocrates on the site of a former Byzantine church, by the Ottoman fleet admiral Hasan Pasha. Materials taken from the old town were used to build it. It features 61 Mauritanian-style windows as well as impressive red domes and a prayer hall on the first floor.
