The Bernardine monastery dating back to the seventeenth century, which is located in the famous Brest Castle, was initially rebuilt as the headquarters of the cadet corps, and in 1860 AD it was turned into a hospital. There was also a military hospital here in the interwar period. After World War I, the Bernardine Chapel was rebuilt and served as a hospital chapel. The monastery buildings were destroyed, and were used for economic purposes after the war, and are still standing today.
