The Mata Dam is a collection of very ancient water chains that have been running for thousands of years and originate from a chain of hills. The water line runs in different paths that finally end with a scenic view in all directions. Lake Mata has been suffering in recent years from a gradual decrease in the amount of water due to the decrease in precipitation in Guanajuato due to global warming.
