Guribalayam Mosque is a large and distinctive mosque located in Guribalayam, near the city of Madurai, and contains two tombs of the sultans of Yemen, Khaja Syed Sultan Alauddin Badusha Razi and Khaja Syed Sultan Shamsuddin of Madurai Sultanate. The mosque is characterized by a unique and distinctive design that includes domes, arches, and high ornate minarets. The dome has a diameter of 70 feet and a height of 20 feet, and it is made of a single block of stone brought from the Azhaga Hills specifically to be a distinctive artistic imprint in the world of Islamic architecture. Muslims come here to hold prayers and various religious rites, including lessons, sermons, and seminars.
