Located on the shore of the city of Çanakkale and overlooking it with a panoramic view, the Kilitbahir Castlewas specially built in order to cut off the sea route that could be extended or used by European forces to invade the city. When the castle was completed, which was located on the slope of a hill, it was an enormous fortress, consisting of 7 triangular floors, protected by the inner and outer castle walls, and the inner castle had a unique design with 3 almost round courtyards connected in the fortress.
