It is estimated that the building of the Grand Bazaar of Kayseri, which was considered the largest covered market after Istanbul in the Ottoman period, was built in the fifteenth century. This market has more than 2,000 shops and stalls where local foods, handicrafts, textiles, traditional costumes and many other local goods are sold.
