The Jorge Amado House Museum is located in Salvador, and it is one of the most prestigious museums in it, which was opened in 1987 AD, in a colonial building from the nineteenth century. It maintains a rich and diverse collection of the writer's life and work, with a huge photographic archive and over 400 video clips, including his work on film and television, reports, interviews, and award ceremonies.
