The Church of the Holy Trinity, located in the center of Craiova, is one of the most beautiful churches in the city. It was built between 1765 and 1768 in the Brankovino style. Its building is made of stone and brick, it has a small bell tower rising above the central part and a portico supported by a row of columns. The restoration of the building, according to the design plans of the French architect and restorer André Lecomte du Noüy, began at the end of the nineteenth century and continued until 1906, during which time the front tower was erected, the entire interior was painted, and a new icon was sculpted from Oak wood and gilded, new furniture was brought from France.
