Information about Gebhardsberg
Just a short drive south of Bregenz, Gebhardsberg Hill is a 600-foot-tall thickly wooded hill popular with hikers with its pleasant forest trails. Here you'll see the ruins of Burg Hohenbregenz destroyed by the Swedes in 1647 and the 1700s pilgrimage church with frescoes added in 1900. From the castle's famous restaurant, there are great views of the lake and the Rhine Valley. The climb south along the Ferdinand-Kinz-Weg is also worthwhile.
