The Gaziantep War Museum is considered one of the most important war museums in Turkey. It includes 12 rooms and underground tunnels. It tells the epic and tragic story of Gaziantep’s resistance against the occupation city during World War I. Visitors encounter field artillery at the entrance, and they begin to visit 12 different sections of the exhibits. Weapons, gunpowder and primitive defensive tools used in the days of the resistance. The resistance of two years of Gaziantep is explained in chronological order with the heroes, their personal belongings and their photos displayed. When visitors go to the underground tunnels, they are welcomed by sadder scenes with pictures taken in the war.
