Contua Art Gallery was established in 1990 in the heart of San Gimignano by a group of artists including Mario Cristiani, Lorenzo Fiaschi and Maurizio Rigillo, and their goal was to combine contemporary and ancient art in one place and nourish the relationship Between the past and the future, connecting individuals in different geographical regions through the publication of works by artists from around the world. The exhibition became one of the most famous exhibitions in Italy and in the world as a whole after that, as a branch of the exhibition was opened in China in 2004, to be the Italian exhibition that opens in China and displays international works.
