Nef Gallery is one of the most active commercial art spaces with historical art relevance in Turkey. Established in 1987, to be one of the country’s tallest galleries, the gallery was famous for representing prominent contemporary artists of the twentieth century, hence being recognized as a leading institution at the forefront of shaping the country’s contemporary art history. In addition to displaying its list of artists, the gallery has also been one of Turkey's leading art publishers, developing engaging discourse on various artworks, contributing to new scholarships, and producing over 100 publications including monographs and artist books in different languages.
