In the heart of Guanajuato, the former Museum of the Convent of Diego, restored from the flood of 1780, displays the original level of the city (5 meters below the current level), the only place where it can be seen, thanks to the interest in Guanajuato archaeology that began in 1996, today it is possible to appreciate this heritage gem buried for more than 200 years that still preserves traces of the original fresco of the Convent of Diego, which was dedicated to providing spiritual pastures, housing, food and assistance to orphans, the elderly and the needy.
