Located on the outskirts of the city, the Church of San Sebastian was the first Christian building in the area after its liberation from the Muslim invasion at the end of the 15th century. The church building has late Spanish Gothic architectural features. A large number of Christian celebrations are held in the church, but the most important of them is on the night of Good Friday, when the church is used as a station for penitence, and a statue of the crucified Christ is carried in a procession known as the Procession of Silence, according to a tradition dating back to the sixteenth century.
