It is one of the ancient ruins in the city of Cordoba, which is the remains of a Roman temple that was discovered in the fifties of the last century during the process of expanding the city hall, which is located at the corner formed by the streets of Claudio Marcello and Captelloros. This Roman temple was not the only temple in the city, but it was the most important to some extent, which was discovered by archaeological excavations. The construction of this temple began during the reign of Emperor Claudius (41-54 AD), and ended about forty years later during the reign of Emperor Domitian.
