Home to history and memory and a center for citizenship research and education, the Provincial Museum of Resistance and Deportation was established in 1994 by the Provincial Council in Toulouse and houses a collection of permanent and temporary exhibitions that relive the highlights of the period between 1939 and 1945 in the Haut- Garonne: Occupation, resistance and liberation, as well as deportation to Nazi concentration and extermination camps, and other exhibitions on citizenship and human rights issues are organized inside and outside France.
