Cotto de Liban is a winery run by an authentic Lebanese family, whose vineyards are grown at an altitude of 1,100 meters on the hillsides of the Bekaa Valley. The factory was established in 1999 by Nicolas Abou Khater, who studied fermentation science at the University of Burgundy. The factory produces four distinct wines in addition to arak, the traditional, homemade Lebanese "water of life". The annual production is 100,000 bottles from 15 hectares of vineyards with a strong focus on grape quality in order to maintain high quality standards of wine, and nearly 95% of production is exported to many countries such as France, Germany, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, USA and China .
