More than a hundred years ago, the painters' colony appeared in Baia Mare, the place where artists from different countries in Europe met, studied and demonstrated their talents. Since its founding in 1896, it has received more than 4,000 artists, painters and sculptors, and contributed to the development of their skills until they became known. All over the world, today it is still a place dedicated to beauty and creativity, and includes a large number of works of these artists in its permanent and temporary exhibitions, including drawings, sculptures and plastic arts that reflect the talents of Romanian and European youth.
