The Museum of City History, a 150-year-old model of civic architecture, bringing a new breath into Mersin's cultural life, has been restored by Mustafa Erim and integrated into Mersin's cultural and artistic life. In this museum, the history of Mersin’s education and liberation and the martyrs of Mersin who died in the Battle of Çanakkale are presented. Here you will see mosques, churches, Ataturk’s visits to Mersin, Yumuktepe hill and historical buildings, in a place that is the most comprehensive of its kind and the most important in the world of culture.
