Mersin Ataturk House Museum is a two-storey building made of soft stone from the outside, and it is one of the best examples of civil architecture. Studies indicate that Ataturk and his wife stayed in this house during their eleven-day visit to the city of Mersin, and in honor of this visit it was converted For a museum, the ground floor of the museum was equipped as the Ataturk Museum with pictures and documents. Here, photographs of Atatürk taken during his visits to Mersin, are displayed in the inner rooms many personal belongings including bathrobes, shirts, forks, knives and spoons, and on the upper floor where ethnographic values are displayed, there is a large hall in the center and seven rooms open to this hall.
