When in San Marino, don't miss the Children of Beslan Statue, a small statue dedicated to the victims of terrorism and the massacre that occurred on the first day of the school year in 2004 at the Beslan School in North Ossetia. This expressive and poignant memorial is the work of sculptor Vandi Renzo Jarno of San Marino and opened two years after the tragic event.
