The Church of St. Mary the Virgin is the Roman Catholic cathedral in Cagliari; Which became the city's cathedral in 1258 AD and is called "Cagliari Cathedral". The church was built in the thirteenth century in the Romanesque style of pointed arches and crowned columns, but then the church was subjected to many restorations during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as it was renewed in the style of Baroque architecture, which added to it new architectural elements such as walls decorated with decorations and inscriptions. And paintings, in addition to many statues and sculptures that were distributed throughout the church.
