Opened as a museum in 1983 after extensive renovation and restoration, this home is built with coral stone blocks, terra-cotta countertops, and hardwood flooring, and has wide windows with sliding panels with capiz shells. The National Historical Institute declared it a National Historic Landmark in September 1991. The museum now displays Filipino culture and lifestyle in the mid-19th and early 20th centuries.
