Cape Arkona is a 45-meter-high cape on the island of Rügen in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region. It forms the tip of the Wito peninsula a few kilometers north of Jasmond National Park, and is one of Rügen's most popular tourist destinations, receiving around 800,000 visitors annually. In addition, on the cape there are two lighthouses, a navigation tower, two military bunkers, the Slavic temple fortress of Jaromarsberg, and many tourist buildings such as restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops.
