The Cambridge Museum of Technology is an industrial heritage museum located in Cambridge, England. The original building was, an old scheduled monument housing a sewage pumping station and waste disposal station built in 1894. Cheddar Lane's pumping station originally opened in 1894 in a scheme that also saw the creation of a sewage farm in Milton. On the farm the house rubbish was used as fertilizer to grow crops that fed the horses who pulled carts that collected the garbage and carried it to the pumping station. Even ash from incinerated garbage can be used to make roads.
